The Sharing Shed at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
The Sharing Shed is our parish’s community food pantry—a place where anyone in need can come and receive food and essential items. It is one small way that we live the Gospel message of loving our neighbor and caring for one another in Mercer and beyond.
No forms. No questions. Just neighbors helping neighbors.
When and Where
Open: TYPICALLY 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, from 10:00–11:00 AM
Location: Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 100 Penn Avenue, Mercer, PA 16137
The Sharing Shed is located beside the parish office in the upper parking lot.
If you’re in urgent need outside these hours, please call the Parish Office at (724) 662-2999.
How it Works
- Give – Drop off shelf-stable foods and household essentials (see the list below). Please avoid expired or opened items.
- Receive – Need a hand this week? Take what you need—no questions asked. God provides through the generosity of our community.
- Share – Tell a friend, neighbor, or your church community. We’re stronger when we care for one another.

High-Need Items
- Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, chili, beans)
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Pasta and rice; boxed meals
- Cereal and oatmeal
- Soups, stews, canned vegetables, and fruit
- Toiletries (soap, shampoo, deodorant)
- Paper products (toilet paper, paper towels)
- Baby items (diapers, wipes)
- Household cleaners (small sizes)
- Gluten-free or low-sodium options when possible
Please only donate new, unopened, and unexpired items. Family-size items are welcome, but smaller sizes help more households.
Drop-Off Locations
You may bring items to the parish office or drop off items in church in the designated boxes at each entrance of church.
