Office of Outreach Ministry

What is our purpose?

Empowered by our faith, the Outreach Ministry at Immaculate Heart of Mary is dedicated to serving and uplifting our community through acts of compassion, support, and solidarity. Grounded in the teachings of Christ, we strive to embody His love and grace in every action we take.

Our mission is to extend a helping hand to those in need, whether through providing essential resources, offering emotional and spiritual support, or advocating for social justice. We believe in fostering a sense of belonging, dignity, and hope for all individuals, regardless of their circumstances.

Through our various programs and initiatives, we aim to create a community where every person feels valued and cared for. Whether it’s feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, supporting the homeless, or offering educational and employment assistance, our goal is to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.

In everything we do, we are guided by the principles of love, respect, and humility, striving to be a beacon of Christ’s light in our community. Join us in our mission to spread hope and make a positive impact, one act of kindness at a time.

Our Ministries

Walking with Moms in Need

Pregnant and parenting moms in need are in our parishes and our neighborhoods. As Pope Francis reminds us, our parishes need to be “islands of mercy in the midst of the sea of indifference.” Everyone in our parish community should know where to refer a pregnant woman in need.

Our parish is joining a nationwide effort entitled: “Walking with Moms in Need.” As part of this initiative our parish will undertake a process to assess, expand, and better communicate resources to pregnant moms and families in our local community.

We invite all parishioners to join us as we embark on this journey together.

Sharing Shed

Our Sharing Shed is dedicated to providing essential food items to our local community. Open on the Second and Fourth Saturdays of each month from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, it serves as a reliable resource for those in need. Our commitment to regular operation reflects our dedication to ensuring consistent access to nourishing provisions.

Donations and volunteers are always needed. Donations can be dropped off at the entrances of Church. Volunteers can contact the parish office to sign up for a weekend to assist in distribution, or in organizing donations.

Nursing Home Ministry

Our Nursing Home Ministry is dedicated to bringing comfort and companionship to residents in local nursing homes. Through regular visits with the Holy Eucharist, we aim to brighten their lives and share the love of Christ. Join us in creating a warm and caring community for our elderly neighbors. Contact our parish office to volunteer for this important ministry.
